Congratulations to Tanya Brewer for being selected as Red Dog’s Athlete of the Month for December 2021.

Tanya wins this month’s award for her performance at the Raby Bay Rumble. Providing great banter leading into the event and backing it up on race day !!! Something deep in the fabric of Red Dog.  Well done!

A big thank you to our sponsors for donating this month’s prizes.

1.Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

Surprised, was definitely unexpected.

2. What attracted you to the club?

Tyron told me it was the best club ever so I decided to give it a go. 3 years later………………..

3. How much training do you do at the moment?

It’s never enough.

4. What’s your favourite session and why?

It’s no secret that running is my fav so track Tuesdays is the one I look forward to each week.  It’s the one that always produces results, good and bad.

5. Who’s your ideal training partner and why?

I need someone who always turns up and likes to train early.  Tyron generally ticks both those boxes so that’s the person who you will generally see me with.

6. Favourite motivational quote?

How could you go past Rocky …. “it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward”.  This quote runs through my head regularly.

7. The one bit of advice I’d give to a newbie is…

I’m still a newbie, so I don’t think I have advice.  But I certainly like to surround myself with people who work harder than me and listen to their experiences on and off the track. Everyone has their own reasons for doing something which is often inspiring.  I remember when I first started and Ang introduced herself and straight up asked, ‘what’s your story?’.  Will never forget that, it’s a great question that I now like to ask others.

8. What’s your next event?

Robina, this weekend!

9. What do you do outside of training?

We love having people over on the weekend, nothing better than rewarding yourself with food, wine and good company.

10. What’s your one guilty pleasure?

Wine and chicken parmies.
