DaveKalinowski Run

Congratulations to Dave Kalinowski on being selected as Red Dog’s Athlete of the Month for May 2015.   Well done !!!

Dave takes out this month's award for winning Ultraman Australia.

A big thank you to GMN Vegie Prepi, Shoes Feet Gear and No More Knots for donating this month’s prizes

1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

It's a privilege! I'm following in the footsteps of some pretty classy athletes.

2: What attracted you to the club?

Trent's heckle.

3: How much training do you do at the moment?

Lots of bike k's! Probably hitting 20+ hours most weeks.

4: Least favourite session and why?

Love it all.

5: If you had one wish, what would it be?

World peace?

6: Favourite motivational quote?

Just keep going.

7: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?

For me, results come with consistency.

8: What are your goals?

I'm heading to the Ultraman World Champs in Hawaii at the end of the year so I'm keen to give it a nudge over there.

9: Who would be your ideal training partner?

Got some pretty epic reddog ones that push me pretty hard already! Andrew Fuller, Pete Foster, Darren Carnell and Maxy Seear all keep me honest! Fuller and another mate Ricardo Barbosa paced me over the 84km run in Ultraman and without their help I wouldn't have gotten close to winning.

10: What do you do outside of triathlons?

I'm a stripper....jokes...I'm an engineer and I an amazing girlfriend Mel who I love spending time with. It was Mel and Maxy Seear that crewed for me in the ultraman and those legends made a massive difference, I'd still be out there without their help!

11: What's your one guilty pleasure?

I enjoy a beer and some hot chips after a big day on the bike....and as everyone knows calories in lycra don't count, so I tend to hit the pastries pretty hard while "training".
