ATHLETE OF THE MONTH – APRIL 2015
Congratulations to Damien Bulters on being selected as Red Dog’s Athlete of the Month for April 2015. Well done !!!
Damien takes out this month's award for outstanding results throughout April 2015.
A big thank you to Endura, No More Knots and Fusion Cycles for donating this month’s prizes
1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?
I'm extremely grateful to be mentioned alongside so many other talented RDTT members.
2: What attracted you to the club?
Great reputation and a strong athlete base.
3: How much training do you do at the moment?
Slowly getting back into the grind after Ironman Melbourne (who does those things?).
4: Least favourite session and why?
Anything that requires following a black line, having done plenty of that as a kid has left me truly waterlogged. (Unfortunately is still a necessary evil).
5: If you had one wish, what would it be?
RDTT just granted me that wish.
6: Favourite motivational quote?
The battles that count aren’t the ones for gold medals. The struggles within yourself... the invisible battles inside all of us... that’s where it’s at.
7: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?
Train hard, rest when you need to rest and be good to your mother.
8: What are your goals?
To continue getting stronger and racing faster. (To one day have the perfect race, so I can retire).
9: Who would be your ideal training partner?
Adam Chadburn the next big thing in the world of 30-34 men's age group racing! Watch out season 2015-16.
10: What do you do outside of triathlons?
Earn money to fund my triathlon addiction.
11: What's your one guilty pleasure?
Chocolate and lots of!
