1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

I feel lucky as there are always some fantastic results from the club each month when Trent’s email goes out.

2: What attracted you to the squad?

The people, everyone is very welcoming at races etc.  My kids in particular like the bacon sambos on offer at the tent after races.

3: If you were Red Dog coach for the week, what would you do differently?

Less swimming and more running.

4: How much training do you do at the moment?

Around 10hrs a week works for me, generally something every day.  It’s a balancing act with spending time with my kids and spending time drinking coffee at the coffee shop with the boys.

5: Least favourite session and why?

Swimming, by a considerable way.

6: If you had one wish, what would it be?

To have 3 more wishes.

7: Favourite motivational quote?

Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they stink.

8: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?

Train consistently through the year.  I found it took a few years to build up to a competitive level.

9: What are your goals?

On the sporting front I’m running the Tokyo marathon in Feb and hopefully the duathlon worlds in Adelaide next year.

10: Who would be your ideal training partner?

Megan Fox

11: What do you do outside of triathlons?

Mainly hang out with my family, I’ve got 3 young boys it takes a lot of effort to stop them destroying things (including themselves).

12: What's your one guilty pleaure?

XXXX Gold….drink of champions.
