1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

Honestly, I'm shocked. I never considered myself to be a contender for athlete of the month.

2: What attracted you to the squad?

I guess what attracted me to the squad was the timetable (for example, the number and variety of sessions offered as well as the locations).

3: If you were Red Dog coach for the week, what would you do differently?

I would re-introduce a swim stroke correction session (since swimming is my weakest leg and I need all the help I can get, and then some) and implement strength training sessions (since this old duck needs to prevent the onset of osteoporosis).

4: How much training do you do at the moment?

I probably average around 8 sessions per week.

5: Least favourite session and why?

My least favourite sessions are swimming because I am SUPER SLOW.

6: If you had one wish, what would it be?

Following on from my previous answer, to improve my swim speed.

7: Favourite motivational quote?

"The mind is everything. What you think you become." - Buddha.

8: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?

If I can do it, then so can you.

9: What are your goals?

My goals are to maintain my health and fitness and improve my swim speed.

10: Who would be your ideal training partner?

A sports psychologist who could assist me to work on changing negative thoughts into positive ones.

11: What do you do outside of triathlons?

Outside of triathlons, I am a public servant who likes to spend time with family and friends enjoying the finer things in life such as great food and wine :)
