1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

So surprised... it was very unexpected!

2: What attracted you to the squad?

After being kissed by a bus on my bike, I decided training alone wasn’t for me anymore. I looked at a few different tri clubs, but Red Dog's variety of sessions and lunchtime swim squad worked in best with the hours I work.

3: If you were Red Dog coach for the week, what would you do differently?

Trent does a great job at being Boss! If I were coach for a week I would definitely throw away paddles and wind trainers.

4: How much training do you do at the moment?

I'm tapering at the moment for Cairns, so training is pretty minimal. In a normal week I aim for 3 swims, 3 runs, and 3-4 rides.

5: Least favourite session and why?

WT sessions at home!! Worst. Session. Ever!!! Trying to keep myself entertained for that long is difficult.

6: If you had one wish, what would it be?

My one wish is to live back on the Sunny Coast.

7: Favourite motivational quote?

Ohhhh that’s a tough one… I have a few goodies.
- Success is when hard works meets opportunity, so do your best and stay the course, your time will come.
- Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference between fitness success and fitness failure
- Motivation comes from looking at the things you want, and realizing what it takes to get it

8: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?

Make sure you enjoy are enjoying your training otherwise it becomes a chore, and consistency becomes harder to achieve.

9: What are your goals?

My main goal at the moment is to cross the finish line of the Cairns IM

10: Who would be your ideal training partner?

I guess everyone I’ve been training with over the last 6 months has been ideal.  I try to steer clear from big egos, and bike talk!!!

11: What do you do outside of triathlons?

I work as a Personal Trainer, and start with QFES as a fire fighter in August. Outside of work and training and try and sneak up the coast or over to Straddie as often as I can for a surf and sunbake on the beach!
