1. Reddog AOTM, how do you feel about that?
It’s great. Thanks to the club and sponsors for this!
2. What attracted you to the sport of triathlon?
Vanessa Dellow had started training with Reddog and was telling me how good it was. I had always been impressed with the quality of the athletes who trained with the squad.
3. If you were Reddog coach for the week, what would you do differently?
I love short swim, bike, run sessions so would throw one of them in.
4. How much training do you do at the moment?
I try and swim the evening sessions at both Yeronga and the Valley. Run at track and on Thursday mornings and ride 3-4 times a week.
5. Least favourite session and why?
Swimming with a rubber band around my feet. Lucky this doesn’t happen very often.
6. If you had one wish, what would it be?
To be able to get back home to NZ a little bit more would be nice. Maybe drag that a bit closer and build a bridge.
7. Favourite motivational quote?
Act or accept.
8. What advice would you give to other Reddogs who would like to be AOTM?
Consistently showing up to training and pushing yourself with the other squad members.
9. What are your goals?
The Tauranga half at the start of January is my main focus so looking to have a good race over there.
10. Who would be your ideal training partner?
I do a lot of my training with Sarah Crowley and find her to be an awesome training partner.
11. What do you do outside of triathlons?
I enjoy mountain biking on the odd occasion. I also like to maintain my bikes when I get some spare time.
12. What's your one guilty pleasure?
Sleeping in late.
