Congratulations to Bob Reseigh, AOTM for January 2017. Well done!!!

Bob wins the award for embracing the tumble turn challenge!.

A big thank you to Skin Strong, Aqua ShopNo More Knots and AvantiPlus The Valley for donating this months’ prizes.

1.           Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

Appreciate the nomination but sure there are more deserving RDTT members out there! In saying that I have learnt to tumble turn after 10 years swimming with Trent's squads! (Not from lack of trying from the Coach)!!

2.           What attracted you to the club?

I was training in a lane where squad pre RDTT was starting and asked Trent if he wanted me to move lanes? He said no worries just tag on the back and I have been there ever since. Also met some really great people over the time.

3.           How much training do you do at the moment?

Two RDTT swim sessions a week and 1 to 2 running sessions on my own. Bike when necessary.

4.           Least favourite session and why?

Probably riding as the road environment has changed a lot since I started Triathlons 19 yrs ago . Do most bike in the Man-cave watching old TV series.

5.           If you had one wish, what would it be?

To be able to remain healthy and active in my later years and same for my family and friends. Just continue to enjoy life!

 6.           Favourite motivational quote?

"Run Forrest Run!" and "Life is like a box of chocolates" (see question 11)

7.           The one bit of advice I’d give to a newbie is…

Listen to what Trent tells you he knows his trade. Also enjoy what you are doing, have fun otherwise it's hard to keep the motivation level up.

8.           My next race is…

Looking to get back into half-marathons after 10 years of marathons, hopefully the GC or Brisbane later in the year.

9.         I couldn’t do what I do without…

My wife and daughters support and also a good work life balance! Also the great people who swim at Yeronga squad!! (and Trent)

10.       What do you do outside of triathlons?

Spend time in the Man Cave restoring old pedal cars and toys and collecting other vintage items. Also spending time with my great family and friends . Also drawing and listening to music and watching movies.

11.       What’s your one guilty pleasure?

Beer and chocolate at the same time. Best combination on Earth!!

12.       What’s your favourite food?

BBQ chicken and bacon pizza
