1: Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?

Like Taylor Swift when she won the Grammy and Kayne West wanted to take it off her. I have never even won a meat tray in my life so this is a nice surprise, particularly because there are so many superstar hardworking athletes at Red Dog.

2: What attracted you to the squad?

I had a friend that wanted to do some squad swimming and she heard about how awesome Red Dog was so how could I resist. Although I started slowly with just the swimming sessions and then added the running and then very reluctantly started riding with the group.

3: If you were Red Dog coach for the week, what would you do differently?

No more fin sessions EVER.....I seem to be the only person in the world that when I put fins on they actually make me swim slower.

4: How much training do you do at the moment?

At the moment I do about 2 to 3 sessions a week on each discipline (that includes my training for the 4th leg).

5: Least favourite session and why?

FINS and St Peters Long Pocket loop on a Wednesday (always seems to take it out of me).

6: If you had one wish, what would it be?

To have 20/20 vision and therefore no need for contacts and a resulting sore eye when I was competing at Mooloolaba and therefore no damn pirate jokes

7: Favourite motivational quote?

 "Always be yourself

Unless you can be a pirate

Then always be a pirate"

8: What advice would you give to other Red Dogs who would like to be AOTM?

Consistency and hardwork really do seem to work

9: What are your goals?

Just aiming to be more consistent in my training and not have the whole of winter off like I normally do. Hopefully winning Athena's category at Noosa would be the next big goal

10: Who would be your ideal training partner?

Where do I start....There are so many good ones at Red Dog. I love a good shadow at track (Nicole Ennis) who keeps pushing me forward because I know she's coming and then there are always the ones I am aiming to catch up to like Kate Fryer and Dellow but it doesn't seem to be happening.

11: What do you do outside of triathlons?

Working and at the moment I am studying for my Masters so besides training I don't seem to get a lot of spare time. But we do have a place up at Noosa so I love getting up there for a beach weekend whenever I get the chance

12: What's your one guilty pleasure?

Champagne, wine and cheese
